ABOUT AUTHOR

Hi! Call me Eddie. I live in Columbus, Ohio, with my five dogs: four Maltipoos and one Chihuahua. I began writing stories in the fifth grade at the age of ten. At that time, my biggest fan was my grandmother, Zelda. She was blind, but her sight through her other senses was so great that I remain astounded to this day. I am the father of six sons and one daughter. All are grown. Raising seven kids required made-up bedtime stories. Some, I hope to bring to life in upcoming books.

A Little More About Me

I have held several occupations over the years, from a jock on two radio stations, WFGH in Fort Gay, West Virginia, and WUCO in Marysville, Ohio, to being a ventriloquist performing in nightclubs and a cruise ship, as well as being a police officer

and a city transit operator.  Ghosts of the Big Sandy River is a story that takes place in Louisa, Kentucky, and Fort Gay, West Virginia. Both are

real towns that I love to visit. In January of 2018, the tale came to me. I turned to my second eldest son, Scot, for input and research since he lived in Louisa for a few years. Plus, his family from his mother’s side living in both towns provided extra details. Scot was a substantial contributor to my information.

On April 25, 2018, a mere three months into the manuscript, Scot died of a heart attack at the age of forty-five. He is buried just outside of Fort Gay on Cyrus Mountain. It took me over a year to get back to working on our project. But I knew I had to finish it. Scot would have expected me to. The story follows brothers Clayton and Scot and their cousin Jaylynn on ghosts hunting ventures with a twist of local history mixed in. The kids soon discover that not all demons are spectral when it comes to haunting humans. Sometimes death has nothing to do with dying.  I hope you enjoy the adventures – both real and imagined. Listed are several books that I have co-authored or contributed with short stories. Ghosts of the Big Sandy River will be my debut book. I have multiple manuscripts in the works. “Some of the best books I have ever read. The author knows how to pull you into the story and has twist and turns. Difficult to put the books down.”
